Did you look on the oil pan on the bottom back side of the engine for the plugs?
Bottom or rear of radiator
To change the transmission fluid on the manual 1998 Ford Escort ZX2, drain the fluid from the drain hole near the speed sensor. Then refill the fluid using the plug in the side of the transmission.
I would call a local wrecking yard to find out. They should have all the referance and cross referencecs their.
As long as the motors are the same you should be good.
there should be a drain plug on the rt. side of trans. rt. above that there is the fill plug there is a drain plug on the rt side of trans. rt above that is the fill plug
I think the ford tx3 awd trans works in the escort you will have more fun with that.
If you have an automatic transmission there is no drain plug, you'll have to drop the pan to change the fluid. If you have a manual transmission the drain plug is in the center on the bottom.
you can drain the water out by friking draining it you dimwit
its a shift light for a manual trans. means opimum rpm for shifting to higher gear
I wish to know how!
According to a website I was looking at : For a 1998 Ford Escort ZX2 , 2.0 liter DOHC four cylinder engine : ( 22 city / 30 highway / miles per U.S. gallon / auto and manual trans )
If it is a auto trans and there is no drain plug, you have to drop the pan, and change the filter and gasket while you at it. If it is a manual, there is a plug on the lower passenger side of the transmission body. pull it and the fluid will drain.
