Assuming it is remote....from the engine it is roughly inside the splash panel for the radiator. LH side. Most have an Access door that has a screw holding the door closed. ( Yes, I have a 95. It's under the splash panel for the radiator. Be careful when you turn the filter off. The unit it's attached to is held on by a few bolts. It's cast iron and can break( or has already broken at the bolts. Mine was broke when I got the truck. You can buy a new unit, or use the really big zip ties to hold it in place. Which is what I did.) If not remote..... it is in the LH rear corner of the engine. Goto the front driveshaft's front ujoint. Straight up from there. Stan

1999 4WD Jimmy holds 18 gallons of fuel.
hi, the filter is under the truck . near drivers side in front of rear wheel on the frame.
their is an elctric 4wd module lcoted under your jimmy. if you do not occasionally use your 4wd, this motor will stick. if you listen under the truck while you try to put it in 4wd you might be able to here it clicking (tryin to switch). this problem is common in those vehicles because it is located under the truck were it it exposed to water, roadsalt, dirt ect. my guess is the part is about $200. if you can find it its rather easy to replace.
underneath on the passenger side, ontop of the frame rail section above the tc crossmember mounts.
Under the truck, passenger side, below the bed area, rear frame rail, mounted in fuel line.
It is on the frame rail on the inside of the drivers side, just behind the cab. The lines screw in on both sides of the filter, size 16mm.
