Where is the oil filter located on a 2005 Toyota Highlander?

For the V6 I found it on the front of the engine just below the passenger side of the exhaust manifold (next to the first catalytic converter.) If you don't like working blind, you can remove the narrow plastic shield attached between the lower bumper fascia and the frame - 7 bolts and two fasteners (the fastener's centers pop out easily if you get a screwdriver under the head and lift). The shield will still feel hung up after removing the fasteners - just push up slightly on the two clip tabs you feel where it hangs and it will release. GM
