Top of engine, in back and on left side, under the air tube intake. It is a newer kind of filter that has only the paper part, housed inside a hard and reuseable plastic container. It is inside and under a plastic cap that has built-in plastic nut 15/16" or 24mm (both socket will work). The cap is about the size of a soda can in diameter. Unscrew it counter clockwise with a proper wrench. A Vise will strip off the plastic and ruin it (costs about $25). For now, new filters will have to be bought at dealers and internet, it's Mopar- xxx744 costs about $8 each. Walmart and many autoshops do not have it (summer 2012). It snaps into the socketed plastic cap. Do this first, to release the oil back into pan, before you drain the old oil.
If equipped, it is behind the glove box.
