Where is the oil filter on 2002 Toyota 4.7?

Open the hood, look down, and around underneath the exhaust

manifold. It should be right in front. I know you're suppose to warm

the engine before changing oil, but unless you have special tools,

like the dealer, you're probably going to find out how hot the

manifold is. Wait till the engine is cool, before attempting to remove

the oil filter. I found that using an oil filter cap tool, that exactly fits

the size of the filter works best, and using a 3/8 drive in the end of

the oil filter cap, and slowly turn till it comes off.
