It checks engine operating conditions, such as weather extremes, stop and start traffic, and frequent short trips. It uses all these parameters to determine when the oil/filter need to be changed. It will also tell you when to change the air filter, spark plugs, transmission fluid, and even when to rotate the tires. When you see a wrench read the code in your owners manual to see what service is needed. The Minder is located right under the speedometer.
