Hi, there is a lift pump in the tank, it is a fuel gauge sender & lift pump combined in 1 unit. I have changed 1 on a focus & mondeo tomorrow because no fuel being fired to the filters when ignition turned on.
The temperature sender is a one wire sender and should be located on the driver's side of the block, near the firewall. It will be located almost directly below the oil pressure sender. You can also check thegauge by touching the wire to ground. When grounded, the gauge should read full hot. Hope this helps.
