I'm not a mechanic / technician but I BELIEVE that is ( 40 to 60 PSI at 2,000 RPM ) for the oil pressure on a 3.0 liter V6 engine in a Ford Ranger

On the drivers side of the engine below the power steering pump
Behind the A/C compressor on the engine block. 3.0 liter engine
On the ( 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine ) in a 1996 Ford Ranger : The oil pressure sending unit is on the drivers side of the engine , below the power steering pump
I believe it's on the front of the engine , in the area of the lower radiator hose , on the 4.0 liter SOHC - V6 engine
On the ( 4.0 liter V6 engine ) the oil pressure sending unit is on the drivers side of the engine below the power steering pump on a 1997 Ford Ranger ( On the 2.3 liter four cylinder and the 3.0 liter V6 I don't know where it is anybody else know ? )
According to Gates ( they manufacture timing belts etc ) the 2.5 liter engine used in a 1999 Ford Ranger is NOT an interference engine
