In back of engine, on top, next to the distributor.
I`m not sure if the swith is the same on a 2000 S10 but the 93`s have it mounted to the oil filter housing.I you.
It is located on the back of the block at the top near the distributor.
oil filter housing
Right beside the oil filter. It will have an electrical plug on the top of it and it will be about 2 inches long. Ray
If it has the 4.3 engine, I remove the distributor to gain access to the oil pressure switch.
Right by your oil filter
There is an Aluminum tank on the passenger side of the engine compartment. The low pressure switch is usually mounted to and tucked behind it.
Next to the distributor
If that S10 has a 4.3 engine, I find it best to remove the distributor to gain better access to the oil pressure sensor.
The normal oil pressure on a 2002 Chevy S10 V6 is around 40 PSI. This will vary slightly depending on the temperature of the engine. Hot at idle in drive, 20 psi is also normal.
where can i find a diagram for a 1997 chevy s10 brake switch?
The oil pressure sending unit on a 4.3 engine is located on top of the engine, at the very back of the engine, next to the distributor on the drivers side. I remove the distributor to gain better access to the sending unit.
