Firewall side of engine get it from under the car
On my 1996 Nissan altima the oil sending unit is located above the oil pan and below the oil filter on the passenger side of the vehicle.
On most cars, the oil sending unit is just above the oil filter, although it can vary depending on the engine. On the 1996 Dodge Stratus with the V6 engine, it is above the oil filter. You will need to remove the filter before replacing the oil sending unit. The oil sending unit detects the oil pressure; it is different than the oil pump.
On the right side (passenger side) of the block right behind the oil filter
on left side of engine block next to oil filter
I believe that is near the oil filter
behind the power steering unit on the oil pump housing above the oil filter
should be right next to the oil filter
call a professional
If are referring to the oil pump, then I believe it is in the oil pan
the sending unit is located near the bottom of the block on the left ( driver side) it is on the same harness as the oil level switch
to the left of the oil filter at the rear of the engine (97 Cavalier)
On the ( 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine ) in a 1996 Ford Ranger : The oil pressure sending unit is on the drivers side of the engine , below the power steering pump
