According to my Chilton repair manual - the oil pressure sending unit is behind the right cylinder head , in the engine block
Where is the oil pressure sending unit on 1992 ford ranger
where is the temp. sending unit located on a 1999 ford ranger xlt 6cyl 3.0l .Gauge does not work.
Do you mean the Temp sending unit, oil pressure sending unit, or fuel level sending unit?
yes it has both. at least in my 1991 ford ranger does
You can find the 1987 four Ranger 2.9 liter engine oil sending unit on the left-hand side of the engine. The oil sending unit will be near the oil filter.
On the ( 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine ) in a 1996 Ford Ranger : The oil pressure sending unit is on the drivers side of the engine , below the power steering pump
Chainsaw
Temperature Gauge Sending Unit The sending unit is located in the front section of the intake manifold in the vicinity of the thermostat.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I believe the oil pressure sending unit on the Ford 4.0 liter SOHC , V6 engine is on the front of the engine . ( in the area where the lower radiator hose connects to the water pump )
The temperature sending unit can be checked cold, and then hot, for resistance change. The test is performed with an ohm meter.
The switch is screwed into an oil filter adapter located at the oil filter. - Ford Ranger Pickups/Mazda Pickups Repair Manual
