Where is the oxygen sensor located on a 1993 Ford Taurus 3.0 v6 engine?
the oxegen sensor on most cars is usually located either in one of the exhaust manifolds or someware in the exhaust system
Where is the oxygen sensor located on 1996 olds 88 The car sputters does not want to move that would be the Oxygen sensor?
The oxygen sensor is located at the exhaust manifold ,behind engine, close to firewall. The oxygen sensor has no effect on vehicle until it has reached operating temperature or closed loop status in computer. If unplugged or defective computer will substitute a fixed voltage value and car will still run.It will set a check engine light
It is located on the muffler by the moter and looks like a sparkplug with wire attached at the end. To be specific, my 2000 Durango has 1 upstream oxygen sensor and 1 downstream oxygen sensor. Both are located on the exhaust pipe. The upstream is between the engine and catalytic converter. The downstream is located between the catalytic converter and muffler. - Mick
Where is the upstream oxygen sensor located on a 1999 Ford Taurus SE with a 3.0L V6 engine and how do you go about changing one if only the upstream is bad do i need to change the downstream as well?
The upstream 02 sensor is usually located shortly after the exhaust manifold, before the converter. That is the one that controls how the car runs. The downstream sensor, after the converter tells the computer if the converter is doing it's job or not. It does not affect performance, but you might have to live with a check engine light being on. There are probably 2 of each on a V6.
