It's located underneath/inside the air induction box. Remove the brace arm then undo the bolts on top of the air induction box and you'll be able to crack it open and see it, but if you're installing an reprogrammed one, you'll have to remove the air indcution system to get to it.

It is called a PCM. and it is located in the bottom of the air filter box.

A chip? If you mean a chip for a performance upgrade, then you should know that the Grand Prix does not use a chip. You have to get your PCM (Computer) reprogrammed. Check out zzperformance.com
If you mean the pcm, then its inside the air filter box on the bottom
The pcm of a 2001 Taurus should be located under the hood. The unit is bolted onto the firewall on the passenger side.
Have you checked inside the car under the dash where the stering wheel is? But it's a PCM and BMC on the Grand Am's, and the scanner for the code is an OBD 2

The pcm is located on the drivers side of car, by the radiator.
