With the engine on idle, locate the PCV valve and use pliers to pinch the PCV hose that is located between the intake manifold and valve. Wait to hear the spring loaded valve click, and if you do not hear this, remove the valve but leave it connected to the intake manifold. Find the vacuum, and if you cannot, remove the valve from the hose and see if the engine stalls. You can find more instructions in an online manual.

Yes there is a pcv valve. It depends on what kind of engine you have but they are usually located on the top of one of the valve covers with a hose going to it. It should just pull out and a good way to test it is to shake it. if it rattles then it is probably ok, but this is such a cheap part (usually) that if it has a lot of miles on it then just replace it.
