Should be at the bottom or rear of the radiator or remove the lower radiator hose
The drain plug should be at the bottom of the radiator facing the engine. Some Chevys did not have a drain plug, on these models the bottom radiator hose has to be disconnected to drain the system.
Just below the lower radiator hose is the drain plug. Be careful and do not use force as it is plastic. jd
It is just beneath the lower radiator hose.
location of radatator plug on 2000 monte ca rlo
yes bottom passenger side corner
Should be on the drivers side, bottom far left.
under the bottem rad. hose
If it is a plug turn counclockwise to remove If it is a petcock valve turn clockwise to open
It is at the worst place possible on the bottom of radiator. It is sometimes easier to remove one end of the lower hose to drain system. Many times you have to take aprt the radiator shroud( usually a 2 piece) to get at the plug.
has the red coolant in a 2005 monte carlo been changed since reports on it deteriorating the head gasket?
There is no drain plug on the tranny, you have to take all the bolts out of the pan and drop the pan.
Drain the cooling system (lower corner on the passenger side of the radiator should be where the drain plug is), remove the upper and lower radiator hose and heater hoses (you simply unclamp and pull them), remove the brackets holding the radiator in (located at the sides and bottom of the radiator), pull out the radiator. Installation is the opposite of removal.
