If this is the reset "change oil" light, there is a trick mechanics use for this. You turn the ignition key to the second position where the dashboard lights come on, don't start the vehicle, now stomp the pedal to the floor 4 times, on the fourth time hold the pedal to the floor until the light goes off. this works on many newer GM vehicles. Some others have a red reset button in the side of the dash between the door located in the fuse box.
