Pull door panel. Locate PW motor. There should be a black 1 1/2" circular resealable, peel off cover on the metal door panel by the motor. Peel it back....button is underneath. Must do the resetting with the motor running. Hold button while running window up and down several times. May take 15 minutes to get it right. Once the window sets........shut engine, wait 5 minutes and check. Do it again if it did not re-learn. This was just done on my 2003 Altima

Sounds like it is your window motor drive box. I have had to repair three in my 95 Maxima. There is no longer a good bond between your rubber isloation wheel and the output drive. This is the part behind the round aluminum cover adjacent to your electric window drive motor.

remove plastic moulding around door handle and door lock. unscrew door handle and unsnap plastic anchors around lower portion of door unscrew door panel from door. lift up on panel and remove. remove plastic. unscrew motor from door , let window down and remove two screws holding window. remove motor and metal bar replace and reverse process. 1991 Nissan maxima
