Hi,
If you are referring to the sensor that helps turn on and off the fans for this van, it is the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor, which is located just in front of the thermostat housing. That housing is located on the left side of the vehicle (driver side), just in from of the throttle body. If you follow the top radiator hose back to the engine you will find it.
But that sensor feeds the engine computer, which controls a couple of relays for the fans. For more detail, I have included a link to a site that explains the cooling system fans.
Good Luck, Greg

It is in between the cooler hoses on the front of the transmission. It is in between the cooler hoses on the front of the transmission.
It's underneath the vehicle in the exhaust pipe after the cat convertor.
I had this problem with my 2001 Venture, the dealer replaced the motor and the mechanism. The van was only 6 mos. old..
The MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor on a 2000 Chevy Suburban is located on the very top of the motor. It is all the way to the back of the motor. There is nothing behind it.
Simply get it plugged into an ECU reader as it is probably a fault that the ECU is rembering, if not get a manual for your motor and look for an additional sensor.
