Where is the engine cooling fans sensor located on a 2000 Corvette ? Screwed in the driver side cyinder head just behind the Alternator. this is referred to as the temperature sensor. Hope this helps. Mike
The cooling fans on a 2002 Grand Am GT might not be working because of a problem with a fuse. There is also a temperature sensor in the engine that tells the fans when to come on. This sensor may be bad.
I am not sure what a "fan sannor" is. If you are talking about the sensor that controls the cooling fans, I believe it is threads into the lower radiator tank. Look for the wires.
A temp sensor
Heater blower fans or engine cooling fans????? See "Related Questions" below for both.
Hm, check the fuse, then check the fans themselves, for hard turning, if free, try jumping a 12v source to the fan connecter, see if they roll, if not, it's the fans, if so, the cooling fan Temp sensor, controls when the fans do and do not get pwr to cool your engine,... replace it. jr
Check the temperature sensor
Most vehicles locate that sensor close to the thermostat housing.
You will have to do a little troubleshooting to find out what the real issue is here. A scan tool that can read the coolant temperature may help, as it will show you what the engine computer is reading from the sensor. This is important because the computer controls the cooling fans through 3 relays, so that they turn on at the appropriate time. But if you see the temperature gauge changing once the engine starts to warm up, then the temperature sensor is probably working, as the computer also controls that gauge. I have provided a link that gives more details about the engine cooling fans and how they should work. Good Luck, Greg
replace the cooling temperature sensor
engine cooling fan should not do this - bad temp sensor likely
