If it has one it would be driven off the accessory belt up front.
If it came with one from the factory, yes if you want to pass emissions test.
The 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora smog pump can be found on the left-hand side of the engine. The smog pump will be near the exhaust manifold.
The 1985 Ford Ranger smog pump is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The smog pump will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
It doesn't have one.
hi there... here is what happens... water gets into your smog pump due to the hose being too short (and it fries the smog pump sometimes, or it just gets frozen from the winter causing it not to work). When you install the new smog pump, if you can't dry out the other one and get it to work, you want to get the extention breather kit, which is an extra few feet of hose. also, check your fuses. they are located between the battery and the fender. there should be a 30 amp and a 10 amp. one might be blown causing your pump not to work in the first place. and if none of that works, see your mechanic. hope that helps.
The smog pump is located under the vehicle, on the drivers side, bolted to the frame rail, right under the drivers seat area
pumps smog
the secondary air injection system is the smog pump and valve. the valve is located on the exhaust manifold with 2 hoses leading to the smog pump which is located under the drivers side floor. it is electric.
It is located right below the alternator.
it is usually located between the battery and the fender, depending on the type of vehicle you have.
The smog pump is located under the right front fender, I think you have to remove the tire to reach it. Good luck finding a replacement, if you do let me know, I am looking for one now.
It would be belt driven up in front of the engine.
