Trouble code P1740 means: TCC Solenoid or Overdrive Solenoid Performance
The tcc solenoid is part of the od solenoid assembly.
On the valve body, inside the transmission.
The TCC solenoid is attached to the Valve Body inside the transmission. You will need to drain your tranmission and remove the pan to access it.
The tcc switch (tcc brake switch) is located under the dash near the brake pedal. The tcc solenoid is located under the side cover in the transmission/transaxle. The TCC solenoid on a 1995 Caprice Classic is located in front of the transmission. It is bolted to the bottom of the pump.
Not sure what a TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) sensor is. There is however a TCC relay and a TCC solenoid. The TCC relay is found in the relay/fuse center and the TCC solenoid is located inside the transmission.
The 1990 Chevrolet Corsica TCC transmission solenoid is located on the top of the transmission. The solenoid will be near the back of the transmission.

It is inside the transmission, on the valve body. The plug is the one just behind the dipstick tube.
The tcc solenoid, and both shift solenoids are located in the SIDE pan of the transmission. Towards the front of the car, the tcc solenoid is the lowest one, or closest to the ground.
