If it's a v8, Then it's at the end of the lower radiator hose on the bottom wright
front corner of the engine under a housing that the hose is hooked to.
If it's a V6, Then it's up on the front top of intake manifold on the housing that the top hose hooks to.

Remove the water supply hose from the top of your 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. Lift the old thermostat out. Drop the new thermostat in and reverse the process.

Direct bolt on. NO. You will have to modify the bed mounting brackets to put a 98 on a 2003 and then none of the body lines will match up and the truck will look REAL FUNNY.

IT should have a 195 degree thermostat in it so the computer will work right And the heat will be hot. THAT IS WHAT THE FACTORY USES
