On most vehicles, follow the large hose on the top of your radiator to the engine, the thermostat is inside of the fitting at the end of that hose. Remove the two bolts the are connected to the engine. The thermostat is locted there. When re-installing the thermostat, the spring goes towards the engine. Don't forget to replace the gasket and use a good gasket seal such as permatex when you put it back together. Here are more opinions and answers from other FAQ Farmers: * I've had people tell me that my thermostat is in an odd place, but I've got a '93 Pontiac Sunbird with a 2.0 and mine is right behind the radiator and right in front of the engine on a stand kinda bolted onto the engine. There's a cap that reads "Danger, pressurized fluid" and all that; it's inside there. Again, I don't know where it is in other vehicles, but that's where you can find mine.
