It is where the upper large house from the radiator goes into the engine itself. Take the upper hose off, and there are three hex screws on the front of the housing facing the radiator, you don't need to touch the large bolts. Make sure that you buy a new gasket for your new T stat. Also do it when the car is cool you will be spilling some coolant and you don't wnat to get burned. You will need to replace what spills.
