The thermostat is well hidden at the base of the vee sat next to the oil cooler about 2 hours of stripping down the manifold and trumpets and finally its there. You will have 2 bolts holding it in then you need to follow the pipe and disconnect the hose that goes to the top of the radiator. then you will need to remove the bolt that keeps the dipstick on the block together with bracket moving the Power Steering fluid reservoir(just pull it to one side), then apply heat to break the o ring seal then replace. This job is not for the faint hearted or unskilled diy!! Quotes at a vx dealer will be astronomical so do shop around. expect to pay £350 plus!! GOOD LUCK!!
