partially true... no the gsx is awd while the gst is front wheel drive the gsx is the turbo version of the eclipse while the gst is not hence better perfomance wit awd better launch acceleration etc... except...... the GST is the turbo model as well, i own one, but its true that it is only FWD. the drivetrain swap will work because if u look underneath the vehicle you will see that the rear wheels do come ready to receive the axles for the awd supplement that comes in the GSX your real situation is locating and swapping the necessary parts. hope that helps
