The thermostat is to the right (drivers side) of your engine just under the throttle body (where your flexible hose meets the engine from your air filter). It is can be found by looking at where the hose comes off the top right side of your rad and runs to the engine. Where this attaches to the engine is where your thermostat is located right under that metal flange that bolts on to the motor. It is a bit of a pain to get to but easy enough to change.

It is located directly under the throttel body.AnswerWhere is the thermostat on a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am?" Answerwhere is the thermostat on a 2000 Pontiac grand am Instructions on how to change a thermo..Hello, this page has instructions on how to install a new thermostat on a 99+ Grand Am. Also, not listed on the page as an instruction but something I did when changing the thermostat was to take off the throttle body which made getting to the inlet manifold bolts much easier. The bottom bolt was particulary hard to get too, the top bolt was not too bad. Good Luck. http://www.grandamgt.com/thermostat-pfyc.HTML

You replaced the thermostat in your 2001 Chevy venture but the van is still overheating the top radiator hose is hard and hot to the touch like the thermostat is not opening up please advise?

The top radiator hose is above the thermostat. If the top radiator hose is hot, the thermostat is opening. The thermostat is not the problem. Perhaps the radiator is clogged up or the water pump is bad. Look elsewhere.

Where is the thermostat located on a 1992 Pontiac Grand AM SE Quad 4?

The thermostat is located on the driver side of the engine just below the cam pulley. (The one with the power steering pump belt.) You just have to follow the top rad hose. P.S. Its hard to get at.

How do you change a blower motor resister for a 2001 Pontiac grand am se?

It isn't hard to do, just hard to get to sometimes. It will be in the blower housing somewhere. it will have several wires going to it. Probably four or more. The resistor itself is usually held on by two screws. remove them and replace it with the new unit. not too bad.
