On my 1984 CRX the dipstick is underneath the battery. I had to take the battery out to check it.
If it is an automatic--through the dipstick tube If it is Standard through fill plug at side of transmission
Transmission DipstickHere is advice from FAQ Farmers: I have a 1989 Honda Prelude. The transmission dipstick has a yellow loop handle and if your in front of your vehicle facing the engine, it's to your lower left front right in front of the bottom radiator hose. and maybe you'll find it. Good luck!I had a 1997 Honda passport. It had no dipstick, had a plug to check the fluid like a manual trans. If that doesn't help call the service manager at the dealer they should be able to tell ya.My 1986 Accord had a manual transmission and the dipstick was on top of the transaxle housing on the right (passenger) side of the car. The car had to be elevated to get to it.
A person should know the layout of their car. The transmission fluid dipstick is located on the passenger side of the car, and behind the engine.
The transmission fluid dip stick is located beside the Oil dipstick. The oil is the one with the red top.
The transmission dipstick on a 1986 Toyota Celica is toward the back of the engine compartment on the passenger side of the motor. It is behind the air intake hose.
Look at the back of the eng. by the firewall on the passengers side, it should say TRANS on the handle
The transmission oil goes in thru the dipstick tube.
to check your transmission fluid, first you open the hood where your engine is located then you look for a dipstick that is either yellow or orange. the yellow is for checking your oil and the orange one is for transmission fluid. when this has been located pull that dipstick out, whith a napkin wipe it off. then replace it, pull it out again. there are little lines at the end of the dipstick.if the fluid is full there will be fluid to that top line.(note the top line is closest to the finger you pulled it out with in the begining of this answere).

1986 Honda Accord starter is located on the passenger's side, on top of the transmission, under several cooling system hoses. Follow the positive cable from the battery and it will lead you to the starter. Drew
On the 1987, it's at the lower left corner of battery tray...mine has a little red bulb at top of stick.
it's located under the engine the bolt is on the left side opposite to the dipstick and you will need a #14 socket to remove it
