I it is a manual transmission it has no dipstick. If it is A/T it is located on the front of the transmission near the engine block. It is very small and has no tube. Look carefully.
Its on passenger side near the firewall its a screw on hope you find it
Please see and earlier question and answer re: Where is the transmission dipstick on 1990 Honda Accord LX. It may answer your question. By the way, answer is: The dipstick is located at front of transmission, next to the engine block. There is NO TUBE and the dipstick is small - look crefully! Hank.
The transmission dipstick is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, adjacent to the evaporator case.
Assuming you have a automatic transmission the dipstick should be located under the hood, behind the engine, on the passenger side.
In between the air filter and the raditior
The starter of a 1990 Honda Civic is located on top of the transmission housing. There are two bolts mounting the starter to the transmission.
rear passenger side of engine
It's practically buried in the bottom front of the engine. It's virtually impossible to get to it w/o removing some intake hoses.
It is located on the left side of the car facing the engine toward the back. Should be marked TRANSMISSION.
There is no dipstick on the standard transmission , the fluid level is checked at the fill plug on the transmission
The dipstick is on the left side of the engine it's all the way down youhave to reach just below the airfilter cables
Automatic is directly under the upper hose near the cylinder head it should be yellow handled
Its directly under the distributor, about 3 inches towards the front. You will have to reach down to get the dip stick. The dip stick itself is only about 6 inches long.
how do you take out a transmission on a 1990 Honda accord
there isn't one period
Can you change a automatic to a 5 speed Honda Accord 1990
NO, they have two completely different motors.
On the auto transmission the dipstick is located on the firewall side of the upper transmission mount Manual transmissions do not have a dipstick. Unless you are familiar with your cars transmission explaining how to check the fluid levels would be pointless. Invest in a repair manual if you want to save some money on maintaining/repairing your car yourself. If you have an automatic then I don't know that answer. Standing at the front of the car with the hood open, look at where you battery is located along the left side... Just lower and to the right is where the dipstick is located. Factory dipstick should be of an upside down J shape and covered with a yellow vinal paint-like substance.
You have to drop the transmission pan.
Manual transmission vehicles have no transmission filter.
You are going to need a long funnel as it goes into where you pull the dipstick for the transmission fluid out
No it will not interchange. You need an Accord transmission from a 1990-1993.
The thermostat housing on the 4th generation Accords (1990 to 1993) is located above the transmission near the throttle body on the passenger side of the car. Follow the lower radiator hose as it loops up and over the transmission and you will see it.
No it does not.
