Usually Transmission Filters are located right inside the transmission pan all you have to do is if applicable remove drain plug and drain fluid into a pan and then unbolt and drop the pan you can not miss it.
It is an aluminum panel that has a rubber seal and fits into place all you have to do is pull it right off and replace with a new one.
Make sure when replacing the filter you go ahead and clean off the magnet that is sitting in the pan because it captures and collects all the little shavings floating around in the fluid.
Also go ahead and clean the pan because it might have metal shaving in it to.
Trany filters are inside the transmission pan. Usually changed when a trany service (oil change) is done.
take the transmission pan off and it should be right there
Low fluid level, and/or dirty filter. If hot rodded, then extra wear on the transmission.
No. A 2001 Jeep does not have a cabin filter.
no
Sounds like the transmission filter is partially clogged. The colder temperature makes the fluid thicker and it flows less easily through the filter in cold temperatures. Have the transmission serviced. Change all the fluid and the filter. I would not recommend you have the transmission flushed as you more than likely have lots of miles on this vehicle. Flushing the transmission at this juncture may stir up trouble. Just drain and refill.
There's a small sensor on the transmission that the size of a spark plug. It's on the driver side of the transmission near the shift linkage
