You need to remove the transmission pan. It is then accessable. It is not hard to change; just messy to do. If you do it yourself, you will need a basic metric socket set, drain pan,and jack stands.Be able to idendify your trans pan at the parts store (i.e. number of bolt holes in pan, shape of pan). Remove the last few bolts slowly as it will drain fast. Use no gasket sealer on the gasket( it can find its way into trans) Fill last 2 quarts on level surface, vehicle running in park, and check often to prevent overfilling.
the transmission filter is on the inside of the transmission
in the fuel tank.
That would be a 4L60E transmission.
That would be the 4L60E transmission.
On my '94 Lumina minivan with the 3800 V-6, the oil filter is well hidden just above the right hand drive shaft. Turn the wheels hard left to improve access.
The 1994 Chevy Lumina Van fuse box will be located next to the battery box. The fuse box cover should be labeled as such.
