Inside the transmission.
its a known problem with late 95 to 2001 Mazda 4 cyl 626 which is a ford transmission called CD4E that is the worst transmission in this planet and that's why you don't see a lot of Mazda 626 late 95 and above
The Mazda 93 626 is the same as the 96 version, as a matter of fact that engine and transmission is the same as the Mazda mx-6 and ready or not also the same as the ford probe. As long is the same size cylinders. So a 4cyl 626 is the 4cyl mx-6 and probe 4cyl. Hope that was helpful. In my experience, it wll not work. However this was with a 93 and a 95. The wiring harnesses were completely different
Trade it in for a new Mazda RX-8.
Its OBD1
The fuel filter is located under the hood. Removing the air filter box to get to it, should be a little bit lower by the drivers side fender well
yes it fits, they even fit in a ford probe there all the same engine, I currently have a 94 Mazda 626 with an 95 mx6 engine, 4 banger, but the same goes for v6,

Inside the transmission, above the transmission pan.
No transmission drain plug. You have to drop the pan, then replace the filter and gasket.
