The T-stat is in the rear of the engine(driver's side of vehicle) under the water outlet, which is held on by three 8 mm bolts. You can locate the water outlet by following the upper radiator hose back to the engine. The outlet is located under the ignition coil assembly The water pump is located under the timing cover, and is driven by the timing belt. If you replace the water pump, you should also replace the timing belt, because once a timing belt has been used for an extended period of time, they are prone to breaking once they are disturbed.
