Top Dead Center on any vehicle in any cylinder is when the cylinder is at the highest possible position in cylinder before crank turns and begins to fall. Disconnect ignition system (just pull coil wire off completely so it doesn't arc) then remove suspect cylinder spark plug out and have someone SLOWLY turn motor over. Preferably in 1 sec bursts. Look into spark plug hole. When you see the piston coming up, it will stop at some point and start down stroke. Right when it is at that STOP position, its at TDC. This is very important when doing a Cylinder Compression or Leak-Down Test. Hope this is helpful.
