I believe all 96 Caprice came with a lt1 engine. So if it the lt1, the stock hp would be 260. Same exact engine that is in the Impala SS for 94 95 96.
try for a impala ss the parts should match up
No, supercharged impalas were aftermarket upgrades only..the stock 94-96 impala came with a lt1 corvette powered engine..it had 260hp/ 334lbs of torque. one of chevys greatest creations
I had a 95 Impala SS with the lt1 350 and a friend with a Camaro lt1 and as I understand it the main difference was the Caprice 9c1/ Impala SS LT1 had more torque than the Camaro and Corvette versions since it was a heavier car and thus had a slight less horse power. on a side note when I raced a corvette with a LT1 we were head to head, the corvette was stock and my only modification was a cold air intake. hope this helps you
I noticed while driving my Impala the temps stays at the normal operating temp but while sitting still the car runs near hot. I don't believe my fans are turning on when they should and if this is the case how do I address it?
Chevrolet L99 "baby LT1" 4.3 liter 265cid V8 cast Iron heads from a '92-'96 caprice or impala
is a 96 impala faster than a 93 corvette
It should be for the fuel pump.
I believe that the both the 96 vette and caprice use the LT1 (I think 96 was the last year for the LT1). In that case, yes.
probabaly a bad distributor. replace distributor and wires and should be fine.
no
No, the 94-96 Impala did NOT come from the factory with a sunroof option. However, there are many Impala's out there that had sunroofs installed by the dealership that they came from when they were new. So, it is possible to find a 94-96 Impala SS with a sunroof.
