Big Bend National Park is fairly warm in November. It is a beautiful place to visit. There are three distinct landscapes in the park: mountains, desert and river valley (around the Rio Grande). It is a large park with lots of hiking trails and beautiful scenery you can see from your car. There is a lodge in the Chisos Mountains, and there are campgrounds. The agave are magnificent, as is all the other desert flora. Big Bend is in southwest Texas, across the Rio Grande from Mexico. You can fly into the Midland-Odessa airport (Southwest goes there), and drive down to Big Bend the next day. It is about a 3 hour drive through some of the most remote landscape you will find in the United States mainland.
