There is a fuse box located right underneath the ashtray console. Within it there are 3 fuses. One should be labled as "Flasher".

Check under the hood in the fuse relay box.
It's behind the glove box, but you have to access it by removing the whole glove box assy. It is towards the top of the compartment. Difficult to see, what were they thinking?
The flasher is under the dash. Take of the paneling undernieth the dash and there should be a cluster of three electrical devices that are your 4-way flashers and blinkers. The one for your flashers is the one closest to the passenger side door.

In my 88 its under the turn signal switch on the right hand side of Tue steering Collins. Its apparently easily broken off so can be overlooked. I use a pair of needle nose to pull mine out to shut it off when needed. Hope this helps.:)
No, a 1991 Chrysler New Yorker does not have chip key.
The last Chrysler New Yorker was made in 1996. A 1999 Chrysler has computers under the hood and inside the vehicle.
it is on the left hand side of the steering wheel on the same stick as the windshield whipers. by: kristin stark of orange, tx This is a strange spot to put the flasher unit for the turn signals...Open the glove box..look at the fuse panel on the left... It's in that dark hole to the upper left of the fuse panel. I had to take out the screws holding the fuse panel and move it down and out of the way. Then you get to find someone with a smaller hand/arm to feel up into this access hole. It's very tough to see. There are both the four way flasher and the signal flasher located there. Turn on the signal flasher and feel which one is ticking. (you can feel it) If the signal flasher is not working, turn on the fourway flasher and feel it so you don't take out the wrong one. Pay attention to the orientation of the terminal prongs so you will be better prepaired for the replacement of the new unit. Good luck...
When parts stop working, a diagram can help pinpoint the cause. The diagram for the turn signal lights on this car can be found in its maintenance manual.
