By the Treaty of Versailles being drawn up and forcibly signed by the German delegates. It sucked, to sum it up.
The Allied Powers of World War I drew up the treaty. This treaty was the Main reason that WWI was started as well.
It was drawn up and signed in the Palace of Versailes, France.
Sort of. The Treaty of Versailles was drawn up after WW1. It divided up territory, and placed a number of sanctions on Germany. The Germans suffered under the Treaty. There was hyper inflation, poverty, unstable government. Check out the Weimar Republic. It was this suffering which caused Hitler to rise to power, as he wanted to see Germany restored to its former glory. From that, you had Germany invade Poland. Which was territory lost under the Treaty, and so on and so forth.
An Armistice
It was not a treaty that ended World War 2. The German signed unconditional surrender documents with Russia and the rest of the Allied forces. The Japanese also signed unconditional surrender documents with the Allied Forces. The Allied Forces then took occupation of Germany and Japan for up to seven years. The Versailles Treaty was the treaty that ended World War 1.
World War I led to World War II in the fact that after the war, all the countries signed a Treaty called the Treaty of Versailles in which Germany had to give up some land, they had to demilitarize, they had to take full blame for the war, and pay reperations to the Allied countires. From this Germany wanted revenge on the Allied countries.
It was drawn up and signed in the Palace of Versailes, France.

Treaty of Verdun
The Treaty of Versaiiles that the Germans signed at the end of World War 1 severely restricted them and cost them millions in funds for war reparations. The treaty restricted military build up and manufacturing of war implements of all types. They soon found their nation was full up jobless people, hungry and homeless people. The treaty angered Hitler. When he became the German leader he suspended all cooperation of the Treaty and rebuilt the country militarily and economically. He also blamed the Jews for all the world's troubles, especially Germany's troubles. He started the war when he broke the Treaty and the Munich Pact by invading Poland September 1, 1939.
There was no peace treaty since there was no war. It was crisis, but not a war. Had there been a war the world would be a different place. Both "stood down" and an aggreement was reached not to blow each other up.
