Not sure if this will help, but it might. http://autorepair.about.com/library/pictures/illustrations/bl538lib.htm Actually the resistor is located right at the tip of the passengers toes. Get down where a front passenger's toes would be if they sit normally with heels on the floor and toe of shoe raised up. Look up under and you see a white plastic "thing" attached to the heat box by way of a screw on each end. This is actually the resistor. Unscrew the two screws and it will come out. Reason I removed mine was because the blower quit working except when fan knob on hightest speed.
