if your turtle is a male you will see a bump on either side of its tail. if its a female its more likely to be aggressive and will only have a slight bump on either side of it's tail.
They ceRtenetly do. A turtle's backbone is attached to it's shell. If you were to see a turtle shell that had been removed from the turtle, you would see it's backbone attached to it. (Unless it was removed.) This is why one cannot removed a turtle from it's shell without it dying and it's insides falling out.
No, sea turtles have lost the ability to pull their heads back into their shells, and the Pleurodires or "Side-Necks" instead have a spine that bends sideways, allowing them to turn their head until it's halfway hidden by the shell.
Well, did you know that turtles grow according to the size of their environment?? If you keep your turtle in a small environment, it will never grow ( no matter how old it gets ). So I would suggest giving your turtle a bigger environment, wait , see if it grows. If it doesnt, you should go see a vet. But most likely, the turtle is not growing because of the space it is in.
In a later Chapter she explains that is means "Turtle Door". I can see why she would hate it.

Try it. Get a turtle and a round small tomato and see if the turtle can eat the round tomato.
In gender, well... your could see if it has a "you know you know." Or in the type of breed it is, then you could search on the internet and explain how your turtle looks like. Or you could go online and see a website that shows a lot of different kinds of turtles and hopefully you would see the one that you have.
The type of eggs you would see will depend on where you are. If you are on a farm, you might see chicken eggs. If you are around lakes and streams, you might see fish eggs, turtle eggs, or the eggs of other amphibians.
