∙ 10y agoThe concept of neutrality is difficult to define in modern Europe, as since the end of the Cold War there are no longer two power blocks to be neutral between. The following were neutral during the Cold War, and are not now members of NATO or any other military alliance:
- Austria
- Finland
- Ireland
- Sweden
- Switzerland has been neutral in all wars and military disputes since 1815. The constitution bans it from joining any military alliance.
- Countries of the former Yugoslavia: Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia.
- All the microstates in Europe: Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican.
