There is also a population of about 50 birds near Kissimmee, Florida. So, to list the states: * Texas (The only US state where remnant populations spend the winter. These birds nest in Canada.) * Florida (The wintering site of reintroduced populations.) * Wisconsin (The nesting site of some of the reintroduced populations.) * Maryland (The nesting site of some other reintroduced populations.)
