Mannerism is a form of painting notable for elongated forms, precariously balanced poses, a collapsed perspective, irrational settings, and theatrical lighting. The High Renaissance art was represented by its development of highly realistic linear perspective with the works of Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael along with Botticelli, Donatello and Titian representing artistic pinnacles that were to be much imitated by other artists. Mannerism, still a controversial term, followed High Renaissance, and was later replaced by the Baroque style.
The two proceeded hand in hand, one fueling the other.
Direct study of the human body through autopsies was greatly limited during the Renaissance, and thus artists' investigations often dealt with how the body appears to the naked eye. Dissection was necessary in order to learn about the body's inner workings, but this practice was regulated and restricted by the Church. The anatomical research conducted by artists like Leonardo was made possible by the allowable dissection of the cadavers of condemned criminals.
The Renaissance was a movement involving a number of countries. It began in Italy around 1150. Around that date, a fundamentalist reaction occurred in Islam. Thousands of the best educated Arabs had to flee to Europe. The musicians, artists, physicians, etc., all came to escape persecution. Thus, the leaders from a civilization more advanced than Europe brought their learning with them. They would train the people who would take the new learning to other parts of Europe.
The Germans, Dürer and Cranach.
Dürer traveled twice to Italy, and used printmaking to bring Renaissance ideas to other artists in Norther Europe.

One is Northern and the other is Italian :)

Partially because the people of the Renaissance wanted other people to join them, such as artists and very smart people.
Well, the Renaissance movement in general was started in Italy, by many famous artists in the 15th-16th century. Cities would hire and/or support these artists. After the Renaissance movement started in Italy, many other European countries started to follow it, which led to more artistic and cultural improvements, aswell as an increase in the number of known artists.
'they helped each other out by giving each other food and other clothing and teaching them basic skills
One of them is Leonardo da vinci. I am not sure of the other.
Using a purple headband and long wooden staff to defeat his enemies.
Italian painters emphasized the beauty of the human body. They wanted to show the ideal human form and face. Leonardo and Raphael created beautiful Madonnas, athletic figures that seem to spring to life. Artists in northern Europe, on the other hand, painted with great attention to detail, even if the detail was not flattering. If a merchant had a wart on his face, a northern European artist was likely to include that wart. For the northern European painter, capturing the detail was less important than rendering the real in great detail.
European Artists began to create works that focused on topics other then The Bible and Christianity.
