The term "Asian' is overly broad and can refer to those from the Central Asia, the Russia east of the Urals, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent. What can be determined however is that Southern California, the Dallas/Ft. Worth & Houston metroplexes, and the Northeast Corridor of the United States have sizable immigrant populations (and their descendants) from these areas of the Eurasian continent.

New York City is not far behind, with 1.782 million, followed by San Francisco with 979 thousand. Asian-Americans make up for almost 30% of the population of Los Angeles that were born overseas. However, in Honolulu, almost 55% of the entire population are Asian-Americans. So overall, Los Angeles has the largest Asian population, but Honolulu has the largest percentage of Asians.
Vancouver in Canada has the largest Asian population in North America. Over 40% of the city's population is of Asian descent, with Chinese being the largest ethnic group.
