Well it was not always called burger king. When mcdonalds came around the food tasted better and the burger king's old name was less applealing to the consumer so they changed it for why they chose the name burger kings I'm not sure. It just stuck.

Because there are 420 empty calories in a 36 oz. Coke. The burger and fries are already pushing you over 1000 calories so why add another 420 if you're happy to drink diet coke? That's 1 less hour on an exercise bike.
