xbox is good but the playstation is better in ways to me
1.playstation network is free and xbox live is $50 dollars a year
2.xbox has rrod and playstation doesn't
3.xbox copied playstation with the slim
4.playstation has 4 gens and xbox only has 2 gens
5.and finally playstation has blu ray and DVD

∙ 12y agoPlayStation and X box have their own good qualities. PlayStation 3 is free to go online, the downside is that there are usually noobs on Ps3. Where as there are usually more pro people on X box, the downside is X box costs to go online.

∙ 12y agoIn hardware terms, the Xbox 360 is less powerful than the PS31, the PS3 also has a bluray disk player which the Xbox lacks.
The Xbox 360 has the greater online system, (which also has not been hacked2), though it costs money to use, (£40 per year3), whereas the PS3's online system, is free to use.
Wikipedia lists the Xbox 360 as having 80 exclusive titles4, where as the PS3 is listed as having 1295 though it does state that both lists are incomplete.
As of November 2010 the PlayStation 3 had surpassed the xbox 360 in terms of sales6 though these numbers are unofficial.
In all, the PS3 is "better" but Microsoft must be doing something right to still be in the fight and it is mostly down to personal opinion, whether you like the controller, or prefer Halo, or want free online. Few people are going to buy a console purely on the specifications, it's more about the feel of the console.
I personally prefer the Xbox, as I love the Halo franchise, though I actually play most of my games on the PC and only own the Halo games on the Xbox.

∙ 12y agoxbox has is low cost compared to the ps3 but it does have a few more flaws and if you want online play then its free for the ps3 but not for the xbox. gameboy is very old and you could get from game or somewhere like that for £7.99 or of eBay for cheap so you cant really compare a gameboy to a ps3 or xbox. playstation and xbox are even overall but in the long run the ps3 is cheaper but the xbox does have alot of very good exclusive games but you do get what you pay for in xbox live so to be honest its really what you looking for in console.

∙ 13y agoPeople overrate ps3. Wii and Xbox 360 are equal.
The Wii will be the next game console replaced, Xbox 360 costs more to use and they PS3 is more than a game console. USA sales of the PS3 continue to increase and may finally pass Xbox 360 in total sales by the end of 2012.

It's more powerful than Sony's offerings and includes a 4K Blu-ray player. The Xbox One also has much better native backward compatibility than the PS4. ... If you're looking at base model consoles, the Xbox One S also wins out over the PS4 Slim in value, again because of its inclusion of a 4K Blu-ray player.

That's a matter of opinion. Decide for yourself, but personally I would prefer the ps3 because the controllers are easier to use and it has better graphics.- lode of rubbish PS dosent improve the graphics its the games that do it. The new Xbox One finally decided to use the blu ray. It (PS3) does not charge an arm and leg for larger harddrives, but allows you to use a standard laptop to upgrade PS3 GBs.
