The Windsor has 8 bolts in the flywheel and a cam girdle, The Romeo has only 6 bolts in the flywheel and no girdle. I like both motors but the Windsor seems to be a lil stouter in design.
A clogged fuel filter can cause a 1989 Ford F150 XLT Lariat 351 Windsor motor to feel lazy and sluggish up to 45 miles per hour. Fouled spark plugs can also cause this issue.
The f150 first came out as the f100 in 1920 and afterwards they later on brought in the f150 with a larger crate motor and better fuel millage in 1942
Can you put a 350 gm motor in 97 ford f150
That's the " Windsor " 4.6 liter V8 ( engine VIN code " 6 " in a 1997 Ford F-150 ) It seems backwards to me because the " Romeo " engine has engine VIN code " W "
it should be next to the blower motor
Depending on the motor is it a 108 or a 205
Look at the 8 TH " character " of your VIN code : The information listed below applies from 1997 to 2003 F150 " W " - 4.6 L SOHC / Romeo / 97 + 98 are MFI , 1999 and newer are SEFI " 6 " - 4.6 L SOHC / Windsor / 97 + 98 are MFI , 1999 and newer are SEFI I got this information right off a Ford information sheet on how to interpret VIN codes So, I learned something new today , I would have assumed that the " W " code meant the Windsor on the 4.6 L -that would make too much sense !
Ford never made a 350 motor
ford 460 big block
In a 1998 Ford F-150 , 4x4 : You could get the 4.6 liter ( 281 cubic inch ) V8 engine The majority of the 4.6 engines were made in Romeo ( 8th " character of VIN is a " W " ) but there was also the 4.6 that was made in Windsor , Ontario , Canada ( VIN " 6 " )
On the driver side of the motor. Its about give inches drone the motor mount.
Most likely and bad blower motor resistor.
