The northern lights happen form the Arctic circle (33 1/3 degrees north); they are a magnetic phenomenon that cause bands of light that are often green, blue, pink or orange to come across the nighttime sky.
The Aurora Borealis are generally visible in polar and fairly high latitude regions; Scandinavia, northern Canada, Iceland; areas like that. But it depends on the seasons, both on the Earth and on the Sun. During periods of high solar activity, the auroras are sometimes visible down to mid-latitudes; the northern US, even parts of the central US like Nebraska and Wisconsin.
In the late 1850's, there were a series of enormous solar storms; the most intense was called the Carrington Event, named for the scientist who observed the solar flare. Auroras were visible throughout the United States, and even as far south as Cuba!
A website called spaceweather.com has daily reports of solar activity, and some very lovely galleries of aurora photos. It's definitely worth a look!

Aurora Borealis occurs with a center around the North Pole, and on clear, moonless nights during extreme solar wind periods, can be seen everywhere on Earth south of the Arctic Circle. There is no longitude or latitude for the Northern Lights.Since the Northern Lights are caused by the atmosphere, they are constantly changing and moving. They cannot have an exactlatitude and longitude because they are almost never in the exact same spot.
The US is in the Northern Hemisphere by latitude and the Western Hemisphere by longitude.

Yuma, Arizona, is located at a latitude of 32°41'32" North and at a longitude of 114°36'55" West. Its location is in the Northern and Western Hemispheres.
-- 20° north latitude is in the northern hemisphere, regardless of the longitude. -- 35° west longitude is in the western hemisphere, regardless of the latitude. -- I have no idea how the equator relates to the rest of this question.
