Which island countries are in the Mediterranean Sea?
Cyprus is an island nation located in the Mediterranean Sea. The Republic of Malta is a country that consists of an archipelago (group of islands), and it is also located in the Mediterranean Sea.
There are two island countries that are surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, Cyprus and Malta. The Mediterranean Sea (including the Adriatic Sea) is bordered by a further 17 countries: Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco. Some of these countries include Islands in the Mediterranean Sea, for example: Sicily (Italy), Corsica (France), Sardinia (Italy), Majorca (Spain).
