I'm not sure I understand what you mean by differentiate, but if you are using the grammar and spelling checker in Word, you have options. For instance, when the checker stops on questionable spelling and/or grammar, you can click to check grammar (uncheck if already checked). If you click on options on that page, you can choose your own rules by checking/unchecking the boxes. Hope this helps!

This process is done with a Mac Computer Steps: 1. Type something on a website or Facebook doesn't matter and then you right click. 2. Click "Spelling and Grammar" 3. Check mark by clicking on "Check spelling while typing" and click "Check grammar with spelling" And there you go you should have spell check on any website on the internet!
I'm not sure about grammar, but to check spelling in Excel:1) First, open the worksheet you would like to check the spelling within.2) Open the review tab.3) Click on Proofing.4) Click Spelling.5) The spelling dialog box appears.Just in case anyone does not know, click Ignore Once to ignore the word once but check it again. Click Ignore All to ignore this word throughout the sheet. Click Add To Dictionary to add this word to the computer's dictionary so it is never checked again. Click Change to use the suggested word to replace the misspelled one. Click Change All to replace the misspelled word with the suggested one throughout the whole sheet. Click AutoCorrect to use the first suggested word each time you click AutoCorrect. Click Dictionary Language to change the language that your computer's dictionary is in. Click Undo last to undo the previous change. And click Options to open the options block for further choices.

The above instructions will run a "spell check" on your text. As will pressing F7. But to see the option to truly turn off spell & grammar checking, you will need to go to Tools. Then go to Options, then click on the "spelling & grammar" tab. To turn off spell check - Remove the check mark next to: "check spelling as you type" AND remove the check mark next to "check grammar as you type".
